About Kings of Chicago

Developed by Net Entertainment, the Kings of Chicago slot machine actually looks very similar to a game of video poker, and there is a good reason for that. The game has been developed with plenty of playing cards for symbols, which will play a part in the slot’s main bonus round. As for the base game, though, there are 5 reels and just 5 lines in this older NetEnt game. Players can use the betting options available on the screen to wager anything from 0.05 per spin up to 50.00 a spin, whilst trying to compete to win a non-progressive jackpot which is capped at around 10,000-coin mark.

Special Features

As you may have noticed, all the main playing cards are found on the reels of this game. Players will be trying to land three-of-a-kind combos or greater in this game just like they would in any other slot. However, players can also win by landing “poker hands” on those lines. These include straights, flushes, full houses, four-of-a-kind, straight flushes, royal flushes, five-of-a-kind and natural royal flushes.

As you might expect, the joker does appear in the Kings of Chicago slot, and it acts as a wild symbol. These symbols can substitute for all other icons in the game, save for any playing card which has the “scatter” label attached to it. There is no one scatter icon on this game, as any card could theoretically have a “scatter” label on it.

Bonus Feature

Landing 3 or more of those scatter-labelled cards will trigger a “free deal” bonus. In this feature, which is essentially a free spin bonus round, players can start with 10, 15 or 30 free deals when they land 3, 4 or 5 scatters, respectively. In the feature, all wins will be doubled courtesy of a 2x multiplier. The joker can also double the value of all wins in which it appears during this bonus round. Players could, therefore, bag a 4x multiplier on their winnings if a joker appears in that winning combination.

Unique and creative, there is certainly a lot to like about what Kings of Chicago has to offer. It may be one of NetEnt’s older games, but there can be no doubt that in slots with this type of theme, Kings of Chicago still sets the bar.
