About Gold ‘n’ Gems

Gold ‘n’ Gems is a Concept Gaming developed slot machine and one which runs a little heavy on older machines, largely because of its tip-top graphics. Gold ‘n’ Gems naturally contains a mining theme although if that doesn’t float your boat, the fact that this simple slot contains a progressive jackpot prize certainly will do. Don’t get your hopes up too much, the progressive prize in this game is petite compared to some of the other monster prize paying slots out there. You couldn’t really expect too much from a game that contains minimum and maximum bets which range from 0.20 up to 25.00 a spin, though. The progressive prize is paid out at random.

Special Features

The game comes with two game modes, Single Reel and 5-Reel modes. 5-Reel Mode (known as Mode A) is enacted by default, and this offers a standard 5-reel slot gaming experience. Players will note that Mode B (Single Reel Mode) offers a slightly different take on gameplay, although the game is barely recognisable as a slot with this made in play.

The slot does contain a wild symbol, and it can be used to substitute for all other icons in the game save for bonus and scatter symbols.

Players will trigger the free spin bonus round with 3 or more scatter icons appearing anywhere on the reels during a single spin. In this feature, players will get to play with just a handful of free games, although the amount they can win doesn’t really differ from the base game.

Bonus Feature

As for the secondary bonus feature, this is a click and win bonus. It is activated when 3 or more bonus icons appear on the reels and promises players a handful of cash prizes (again, nothing to write home about) when they make their selections in this feature.

Truth be told, there are far better mining-themed slots out there than this one. The gameplay is dull and boring, and although the graphics are crispy, they really slow even the quickest of machines down. Slow gameplay, poor prizes and mediocre features at best make this slot a rather poor entry for Concept Gaming.
