About Football Mania

Wazdan are the developers behind the Football Mania slot, which is actually basic and simplistic classic slot machine game – of sorts, although with a few nifty features. Players will notice that there is a 3x3 window of symbols on the screen, giving the player a unique gaming setup. There isn’t really another football themed game quite like this one.

Wagering and prizes

Players will be able to bet quite frivolously in this game, if they wish. Players can stake anything from 1 coin up to 1,000 coins a pop, giving the game a potentially huge wagering range, making it ideal players on all budgets. However, the amount you wager does affect the amount you can win the game.

Players can trigger a handful of bonus games, by landing football icons in blocks on the reels. The more blocks of football symbols you land, the more times you’ll get to enjoy bonus games. It is not the best feature, but it is nice to have nonetheless.

Prizes really do vary depending on how much you have staked. Since the spots on this game act as separate reels, it is possible to win with 9 of a Kind winning combination. The best paying symbols are the goalie, bronze, silver and gold cups, and the football. The boots, hat, whistle, ref and players are lowest paying symbols. Ideally – for all icons save for the Football Lotto icons – you’ll want to bag 9 of a Kind combinations to win the most.

Jackpot

Typically, the prize when you play on the maximum wager can be worth as much as 1,000,000 coins. You will need to line up 3 of the lotto icons on the three middle reels to land that loot, though. That is certainly not very easy to do. Once you’ve done this, you can choose from those icons on the screen, to reveal your cash prize in the Football Lottery feature.

Final thoughts

Football Mania is complex. One can easily see just what Wazdan were trying to do with this game. However, they have made it overly complicated. The Football Lotto game isn’t exciting, and the Football Bonus is also pretty poorly designed. With Football Mania, it really is a case of good idea, bad execution. Although it is unique, and some of the features are nifty, there are much better football slots out there, and cheaper ones to boot.
