BLAZE OF RA

About Blaze of Ra

Push Gaming’s Blaze of Ra is this software provider’s take on a hugely popular slot genre – ancient Egypt. The game takes place amidst the roaring sands of Giza and features a 5x4 grid of symbols, complete with high playing card symbols and thematic icons. Blaze of Ra features forty paylines, with bets costing at least 0.20 a spin, up to 100.00 a turn. To help you land those wins (worth up to 20x a line bet), you’ve got wild symbols and no shortage of bonus features. Save for the special features, Blaze of Ra is a remarkably simple slot and not one that will have slot players jumping up and down. It is rather basic, and that is surprising given the high calibre and quality of other Push Gaming slots. Fret not, though; we’ll walk you through all the features with the rest of our Blaze of Ra slot review.

Special Features

The first feature you’re likely to come across is the Nudging Wilds mode. This is triggered if you score just two Ra symbols in the top two positions on the reels. Reels will nudge down by two symbols, allowing you to score slot wins out of thin air potentially.

Scatter symbols appear as golden scarabs in Blaze of Ra. Three or more can trigger a free spin bonus, and you would expect to see that in any similar sort of slot. Scatters don’t deliver financial gain on their own here, though, which is surprising as in most other slots, they do.

As you may have guessed from the Nudging Wilds feature, Ra himself is a wild symbol in this slot. Ra can appear on all the reels and can replace any conventional symbol you may need to land a win. However, its ability to do this is somewhat limited without either the Nudging Wilds bonus or the free spin round.

Bonus Feature

The free spin bonus is where the basic happens in the Blaze of Ra slot. Push Gaming’s slot will offer you one or two spins for each scarab scatter you acquire on the reels. During the bonus round, the first, third and fifth Blaze of Ra reels are guaranteed to be filled with expanding Ra icons. Naturally, as wild symbols, these guarantee that you’re going to score at least a three-of-a-kind win on each spin you make. The potential is there, though, for you to score far bigger combos on the reels.
