About Babushkas

Thunderkick has released another unusual slot game that takes it inspiration from Russian dolls. These are dolls that decrease in size when you open them. This colourful slots game features five reels and 17 pay lines where you can bet between 0.10 and 100.00 coins. With many features, this game will keep your interests piqued with the unique experiences from Russia.

Special Features

The dolls that feature in here are the standard symbols and they come in a variety of sizes and colours: yellow, orange, red, pink, purple, green and blue. But, the bigger the doll doesn’t necessarily mean the bigger the pay. They are associated with numbers from zero to six.

Its design is colourful and the Russian theme is enhanced by the tapestry background and the Balalaika tune. Since the reels do not have a border or something to frame it, it looks somewhat odd and amusing as expected from its developers.

Everything about this game may seem strange but it’s easy to see how everything works and there aren’t so many buttons to clutter the display like in other games. The auto-spin button brings up a display that will allow you to choose the number of spins while the bet button allows you to choose your wager. If you need to find out about the game, the pay table has all the information you need including how the bonus features work.

Bonus Features

A mystery bonus will be revealed when the wild symbol appears in the third reel. You can get a bear that will either scare, charm or dance with you. The scare bear feature will upgrade all the lowest valued symbols up to three times, depending on the size of the bear. The charm bear will upgrade all the symbols once while the dance bear will award you with seven free spins with a new wild appearing in each spin.

The symbol upgrade feature is triggered whenever you land a winning pay line. What happens is that the neighbouring symbols that have a lower value and transform into the same symbol in order to create new winning pay lines. But, if all the symbols are upgraded to the same one, you activate the wipe win feature where all the symbols are changed into ghost symbols and receive 100 times the bet you placed.
