About A Day at the Derby

Rival Gaming is the software developer responsible for A Day at the Derby, which has proven to be a popular game ever since its release. This five-reel, non-progressive slot features twenty pay lines, and a generous top jackpot prize of $18,750, somehow spread over 75000 coins. The maximum wager of 200 coins might seem pretty pricy, but a reasonable betting range means we can play for more easily affordable amounts. The betting range is from 0.01 to 50.00, with a coin bet range of 0.01 up to 0.25, and ten coins per line. The coin bet and betting ranges should cater for all different players needs.

Special Features

Special features include a Wild Symbol, Scatter Symbol, Multiplier, Free Spins, and some even more awesome ways to earn bonus bucks. If you find the thrill of the Grand National, Ascot, Epsom Downs, and other great horse racing days is what floats your boat, this could be the slot game for you. The theme is of course this great sport of kings.

Following on a not-to-be- missed introduction, five reels drop onto the screen featuring icons that depict - bouquets of red roses, betting slips, binoculars, mint juleps, winning trophies, horse-shoes, jockey, an owner, his lovely lady, and a couple of different horses. Many of the graphics are quite nicely animated, and come to life for a win. Winning with consecutive icons allows the player to enjoy an animated scene. Very nice ambient sounds lend us the impression that we are truly enjoying a day out at the races.

Free spins are triggered by the Jockey in Blue, while the Jockey in the Green cap will line up big jackpot wins. There are ten, and twenty free spins given away, as well as 3 x multipliers. The brown horse is the wild icon which triggers more winning combinations while the white horse landing on the reels, starts off the bonus round.

Bonus Features

After three or more bonus icons appear on the reels, the bonus feature begins. Unfortunately we cannot seem to get into the bonus feature, so, it will have to be as much a surprise for you, as it will be for us if we are fortunate enough to get in. We guarantee that this game will keep you entertained as well as guessing what bonuses are on offer.
