About Double Bonus Video Poker
This Double Bonus Video Poker game is designed and developed by RTG (Real Time Gaming). It is commonly found in online casinos which accept American players, and is based on the Jacks or Better video poker variant. Double Bonus Poker is one of the better looking video poker games on the net, and offers way more in terms of pay-outs than your usual poker titles.
How to play
Players won’t have a lot of betting decisions open to them when they start out playing Double Bonus Video Poker. After placing their bet, the game will deal them 5 cards. From those 5 cards, players must choose which ones they wish to use in their second hand.
As with all video pokers, players will get a second set of cards to complete their poker hand. From that, the hand will be judged based on the hands appearing in the paytable. If there is a match, the player will pocket pay-outs for their poker hand, based on how many coins they have staked prior to obtaining a winning hand.
Wagering and prizes
Players are going to have to wager 1.00 per hand in this video poker game, although they can opt to stake up to 5 coins per hand, and this increase the amount they can win from the paytable above the hand. In total, players can wager anything from 1.00 per hand, up to 5.00 per hand.
Naturally, one coin bets pay out less than 5 coin bets. The lowest paying hand is Jacks or Better, with 2 Pairs, 3 of a Kind, Straights and Flushes all paying more. Full Houses can see players win between 10 and 50 coins, whilst four 5s through Kings, four 2s, 3s or 4s, four Aces and a Straight Flush are all worth big sums of cash. The best paying hand you can land though is a Royal Flush, which has pay-outs of 250, 500, 750, 1,000 or 4,000 coins, depending on whether you have staked 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 coins per hand, respectively.
Final thoughts
Double Bonus Video Poker is certainly worth more than your average video poker game, but Real Time Gaming’s version of this game is going to cost you a bit more than you will be able to find in other titles. If you like big bets then it shouldn’t bother you, though.
