About Color Champion

Color Champion is a bright and, well – colourful video poker game, which has been designed and developed by Espresso Games. Color Champion is basically the same as any other video poker game, although the use of Joker cards can turn a rather colourful hand into a big paying one.. This could see you win money from hands that you may or may not be familiar with in standard video poker games.

How to play

You can start playing Color Champion by placing your bets, of course. Once your first wager is in the bag, then you deal the cards. When you’ve got your five card hand, you’ll want to try and turn it into the best hand you can, by holding certain cards and dropping others. After you’ve picked up replacement cards, your hand is complete and it will then be measured against the pay table. You do not play Color Champion against a dealer.

The Joker cards count as wild cards in this game. This means that they can replace all other cards in the game. This allows you to construct unfamiliar hands, which can actually be worth more than many of the more standard video poker hands.

You can also choose your own card deck, by clicking on the “set cards” button, though it doesn’t do much except appeal to your own customised wishes.

Wagering and prizes

Players can choose to stake anything from 1 to 5 coins per hand in this video poker title. Fortunately, Color Champion is a very cheap video poker game. Each coin has a fixed value of 0.25, so you are never going to pay more than 1.25 per hand, whilst hands can cost as little as 0.25 per game.

The lowest paying hand in the Color Champion video poker game is a 3 of a Kind. This will see you pocket 1 coin per win. Straights, Flushes, a Full House, 4 of a Kind, Straight Flushes, 5 of a Kind, a Wild Royal Flush and 4 Jokers are also paying hands in this game. The top prize is worth 4,000 coins if you land it with the maximum bet staked. That prize is awarded for landing a natural Royal Flush.

Final thoughts

Although it may seem like another wild card using video poker game, Color Champion is actually different. This is because you can line up 4 Jokers to form a very special paying hand.
