Avatar UX may be a small-scale software provider, but they have come together to join forces with Yggdrasil Gaming for this release. Special Features
The Pop Wins engine is really what this slot is all about. It can add extra rows of symbols and extra paylines to win on. All you must do to land those prizes is land “pops”, or in other words, winning combos.
When a “pop” occurs, some of the symbols will be replaced by a double icon. When this happens, the number of rows and paylines increases, which is how players could end up with the 33,614 lines mentioned earlier. This engine will also unveil new icons, in much the same way as the cascading wins feature does on MegaWays slots. Moreover, every 7 pops you land will see multipliers come into play. These can rise by 1x for every 7 pops, and there is no cap on how high the multiplier can rise.
Bonus Feature
Pop Rocks also comes with a bonus round, although it is hardly much to write home about. To get your hands on that, you’ll need at least seven special icons to spring up on the reels of the game. Your reward is a wild symbol. However, this is no ordinary random wild. It is one which comes with a 2x doubling multiplier, and that, too, can increase when you land 7 pops. The net result is that you are more likely to win bigger prizes more frequently. Pop Rocks is fun, and its gaming engine showcases a lot of originality. However, the lack of any free spin bonus is going to hurt this slot’s chances, as many of its MegaWays counterparts can deliver such a feature.
