About Platoon

iSoftBet’s Platoon slot machine is, of course, based on the famous film of the same name, which starred a very young Charlie Sheen (amongst many other legendary actors in their earlier years) and was set in the Vietnam War. Platoon is played over 5 reels and 30 lines, although none of those paylines can be altered by the player. Players can, however, opt to select coin values which range from 0.01 up to 0.10, whilst as many as 10 coins per line can be staked per line. Platoon can see players wager anything from 0.30 per spin at its cheapest, whilst its maximum wagers are capped at 30.00 per spin in all. Platoon can dish out a jackpot which is worth 10,000 coins per line (at the maximum bet), although if you land multipliers, the prize can rise as high as 30,000 coins in total.

Special Features

Platoon contains a decent selection of special features. First up, there are wild symbols which appear in the form of tanks. These symbols can substitute for all other icons in the game barring bonus symbols, and any win which features a wild will trigger a re-spin bonus, with a 3x multiplier symbols present during those spins.

The re-spin bonus in Platoon is quite simple to fathom. After a wild appears in a winning combination, players will bag re-spins. Wilds will gradually walk across the screen to the leftmost reels. If wilds keep appearing on the reels, the free re-spins will keep on coming until all wilds exit the screen from the leftmost reel.

Bonus Feature

Players who manage to land 3, 4 or 5 of the helicopter bonus symbols will trigger a free spins bonus round in this slot. Players will start that free games feature with 8, 10 or 12 free games, for 3, 4 or 5 scatters, whilst instant cash prizes worth 5x, 10x and 15x your total bet will also be paid out. If the feature is retriggered, players will pocket between 8 to 12 free games. During Platoon’s free spins bonus round, the player can win in both directions, so from right to left as well as left to right.
