About Medusa II

Medusa II is the hotly anticipated sequel to Medusa, an original video slot designed and developed by NextGen Gaming. Medusa II is in many ways very similar to the original release, albeit with better features and much improved graphics. Medusa II is a 5-reel video slot, which is played across a wondrous 243 paylines. Coin sizes in this slot range from 0.01 up to 2.00, and of course, the paylines are non-adjustable. Gamers are going to be wagering anything from 0.25 up to 50.00 per spin on this video slot. For your money, you can land a non-progressive jackpot which is worth up to 500x your stake.

Special Features

The original Medusa slot had some nice special features, but these pale in comparison to what can be won in the sequel. The special features are far richer in Medusa II than in its predecessors, as you shall see. So, the big question is; what are they?

Medusa II’s scatter icon is the game’s logo. When this icon appears 3, 4 or 5 times on the reels, the player will pick up scattered wins of 50x, 125x or 250x their stake, respectively. They will also be treated to a free spins bonus game.

Medusa herself is the wild icon, and also the jackpot paying symbol. You’ll need five of these across any payline, in order to win said jackpot. The wild icon is stacked and appears on all of the reels. It can replace all other symbols, barring the scatter icon.

At any time in the base game, a solider might pop up and attack a Medusa wild. Medusa will then turn the solider to stone, which will create a new stack of wilds wherever he was. This is a random feature, and cannot be triggered by any specific symbols. If your luck is in, then it’ll happen for you.

Bonus Feature

But back to those free spins, since they are the bread and butter of this slot, and the game’s only bonus round. During the free spins game, the player will get to enjoy ten goes at the slot, free of charge. During every single spin in this bonus round, stacked wilds could appear, and some of the reels will be locked. This can mean that the player is able to pick up pretty substantial wins, far greater than what they might achieve in the base game.
