MAYAN PRINCESS

About Mayan Princess

Mayan Princess is a 20-pay line video slot with five 5 reels set with a Mayan theme. It looks quaint but really old and dated with the artistic but not photorealistic symbols. The Mayan culture was established about 2000 BC and was one of the most advanced civilisations in the Mesoamerican areas. The power of the Mayan people went into decline around the ninth century AD due to a number of political wars that devastated the population and forced a massive relocation northwards. Sadly a lot of the culture was lost when the Spanish came to colonise the lands in the 17^th century. All that we have left are the mysterious structures and a few artefacts that have remained intact since the decline of this amazing society.

Microgaming has tried to recapture some of the glory of the era through the representations of the important icons of the time. There are Mayan warriors, priestesses, leopards, alligators, parrots, sun masks, stone carvings of a bird in two of the most important staple crops of the Maya diet, maize and chilli peppers.

For such a dated slot Microgaming has still made this accessible to all modern smartphones and tablets to allow punters to reminisce about those times gone by. You may not reflect that long as the highest jackpot available is only $5,000 when five Mayan Princess logos sit on a pay line and there is no progressive jackpot to sustain interest.

Special Features

The special the Mayan Princess plays a role as the Wild symbol and only acts to fill in the combinations to make it easier to win. Sadly she does not do much else and the prizes are standard without being multiplied at all. Unfortunately the scatters aren’t privy to this royal treatment.

Bonus Feature

As places of worship and ritual sacrifices the pyramid played an important role in Mayan cultures so fittingly plays the role of the scatter here. Appearing only on reels one in five, with two of them shows up simultaneously you know some wondrous event is going to take place. For starters at least 10 free spins are awarded and as many as 20 if you’re really lucky. The free spins are played automatically so all you have to do is sit back and hold thumbs while the prizes come in. These values aren’t very high because the multiplier is only doubled which is a pity when compared to other slots of this kind.
