About Jolly Roger

Sail the seas with a Jolly Roger in this pirate themed slot. It has 15 lines and five reels with kitted out on a wooden vessel and the open waters in the background. Press the Lines button to adjust how many pay lines to wager on and click the Coin Value button to increment from 0.01 up to one full unit of currency.

The graphics are pleasant with little animations and superbly matching sound effects that really get into the spirit of the theme. There’s not much in terms of music but the sounds of the ocean is not far away.

Special Features

Out of interest the name Jolly Roger appears to have been a generic name for the flag that pirates flew in the 18th century but the design with a skull and crossbones was not necessarily the standard. Nevertheless it is still one of the most recognisable icons to date. And here it is even more valuable as it behaves as a wild with the highest value pay-out if you land five of them. A jolly good bonus is that all wins with the flag are doubled too.

And what self-respecting pirate would go about without a macaw parrot? This bird is the scatter that brings about great fortunes with even just two of them appearing. Scatter wins are multiplied by the total bet made and tallied to any line wins with a top multiplier of 400 when five of them appear.

Bonus Feature

Ready to look for buried treasure? Well first you need to have a treasure map! But here it is torn into three pieces, the left, middle and right sections, which appear on reels one, two and three respectively. When all three land anywhere on screen then the hunt begins. There are five locations where the loot is buried but you only get three opportunities. Each choice will be dug up and the hidden gold will be tallied at the end which could be anywhere from 60 to 1200 coins.

The second mini game available involves wooden chests that can appear on all five reels. It just takes a minimum of three but the more you land the higher the prize output. The task at hand is simple, select two out the five chests present and reap the rewards. Two chests pay out from 40 to 2000 coins; three chests will give 60 to 3000, and five chests 80 to 4000 coins.
