About Diamond Inferno
Launched by Triple Edge Studios and distributed by Microgaming, Diamond Inferno is a modern take on a very old type of slot. Make no mistake about it, though; this isn’t a simple classic slot remake. There is originality here in the form of expanding reels, and they come into play during specific aspects of the game. We’ll come to that in time, but first, let’s look at the setup of the reels. You’ve got five reels and three rows of symbols, upon which are a series of twenty paylines. Having a crack at this slot will cost at least 0.20 a spin and no more than 20.00 a turn. There is an RTP rate of 96.19%, while the volatility is deemed to be medium. Up to 11,750x, a bet can be won if you land the right sort of symbols in the Diamond Inferno slot.
Special Features
It may be classical in terms of theme and imagery, but Diamond Inferno is also original in terms of gameplay. There are a few features to get through here, so we will try to be as clear as possible in explaining them. To begin with, there are re-spins. When you land a win, a fourth row of symbols is added to the reels, giving you thirty lines to play with. Successive re-spins will unlock yet more lines, with forty lines being unlocked with a fifth row of symbols. Make it another win, and you’ll get to play with all fifty paylines across a 5x6 grid.
It is worth noting that there are multipliers to be had here. Whenever wins occur in succession, multiplier trails or increasing multipliers can come into the mix. These will start out at 2x but can max out at 10x. The more wins in succession you land, the more likely you are to bag top multipliers here.
Bonus Feature
It is also worth noting that Diamond Inferno symbols can appear in this game. These scatter icons cannot trigger free spins, though. Instead, they merely offer instant cash prizes. Land scatters on the first, second, third, fourth, fifth or six throws on the reels, and you can begin the bonus with a cash prize worth 1x, 2x, 4x, 6x, 10x or 20x your total stake. This is a touch disappointing. We would really hope to win more and potentially want more bonus rounds. A free spin feature wouldn’t have gone amiss, for instance.
