About Buffalo Spirit

Buffalo Spirit is a very simplistic video slot, and one which has been designed and developed by WMS Gaming. Normally, WMS likes to create imaginative and unique gaming engines for their slots, but that isn’t the case in Buffalo Spirit, which is a plain old 5-reel, 30-payline title. The game contains playing card suits as its low paying symbols, and animals from nature for its better paying ones. None is more important than the buffalo. Players cannot choose the number of lines they play with, although they can opt to wager anything from a low of 0.30, up to a high of 90.00 per spin on this elementary animal themed slot. With a good run on the maximum stake, you can win as much as 1,500 coins in this WMS slot game.

Special Features

The buffalo symbol (with the green border) is a wild icon in this slot. It also doubles as the best paying symbol in the game. If you can land five of them on any active line, you will win the best pay-out that Buffalo Spirit has to offer. This wild can replace all other icons save for rock scatters, and can only appear on the first, second, fourth, and fifth reels.

Buffalo Spirit also features a larger buffalo icon (in an oval frame). This icon can replace all other symbols too, excluding the scatter. This wild is capable of triggering a Replicating Wild bonus, where all symbols in the winning line the wild has helped to create will then be turned into wilds themselves. This will result in even larger wins being paid out. The wild icon is only capable of appearing on the third reel of the base game.

Bonus Feature

Buffalo Spirit contains a free spins triggering scatter icon in the game. If you were to land 3, 4 or 5 of the rock scatter symbols anywhere on the reels, you will trigger a total of 10, 20 or 40 free spins. During the free spins bonus, players will have any winnings they acquire doubled in value. Whilst that free spins bonus round is certainly going to help you when it comes to landing more than satisfactory wins, the slot only has a 95.97% RTP (return to player) rate, which is perhaps not as much as you’d like, and a little bit smaller than some of the other, larger RTP rates found in WMS Gaming slots.
