About Avalon II: The Quest for the Grail
Avalon II: The Quest for the Grail is the sequel to Microgaming’s hugely popular Avalon video slot. This slot – released many years after its predecessor – is visually better, offers far more features, and is a wonder to play. Even so, many people still prefer the simpler original title. Avalon II contains Microgaming’s typical 243 ways to win structure, with players able to choose coin sizes of 0.01 up to 0.05, and bet as many as 5 coins per spin. Minimum and maximum wagers range from 0.30 per spin, up to 7.50 per spin, respectively. This non-progressive slot has a top jackpot worth 120,000 coins.
Special Features
The Avalon II logo appears stacked on the reels, and is the wild icon in this slot. It can substitute for all other symbols, save for the Lady of the Lake, and Holy Grail icons. It is also the best paying symbols in the video slot.
The Lady of the Lake symbol is an expanding wild, and she can only appear on the third reel. She can replace all other symbols, save for the Holy Grail.
At any point during gameplay, Merlin may randomly appear on the reels. When he does, he can award either a random cash prize, or a multiplier.
The Holy Grail symbol can trigger the Grail Bonus (which consists of many bonus rounds), when it lands 3, 4, or 5 times anywhere on the reels. Landing it just 2 times in any position on the screen will still offer you a scattered cash prize.
Bonus Feature
There are several bonus rounds in this slot, and you just don’t know which one you are going to get. The Lake of Legend bonus offers you the chance to reforge Excalibur to win cash prizes worth up to 15x your total bet. The Misty Vale bonus promises 15 free spins, with your chosen symbol acting as a 2x wild multiplier. In the Dusky Moors bonus, players can match 2 identical helms to win cash prizes which range up to 8x in total.
The Whispering Woods bonus round in Avalon II promises you the chance to choose from 5 shields. The White Knight will then get to change their mind twice, if they wish to discard their prize in favour of another one. It may not necessarily be larger, though.
