About Apocalypse Quest

GameArt’s Apocalypse Quest has the look and feel of the many “book slots” you can play out there. While it may be similarly themed to these games, in terms of being an explorer and adventurer slot, there is virtually little similarity in terms of features. Apocalypse Quest is played over 243 lines for a start, while many similarly designed book slots feature just ten lines. Moreover, this 5-reel release is not as highly volatile as those games, and it has a decent RTP of 96.10%. Expect to win up to 1,000x a bet with some luck in Apocalypse Quest. Stakes are, however, on the costly side, rising from 0.50 up to 250.00 a spin in the game.

Special Features

There are fewer symbols appearing on the reels in this game than in conventional slots. Wild symbols can appear stacked, and that will help with landing wins. However, there are more ways to win than those.

The Apocalypse Re-Spin round is one of the top ones. If the “hero” character appears on the reels at least six times at once, you will trigger the round. Here, the standard paying symbols are removed from the screen, leaving you with heroes. They can transform into Nemesis symbols. The goal (over three re-spins) is to land identical symbols to pocket one of the three fixed jackpot prizes in the game. You will need all fifteen Nemesis symbols covering the entire screen to win GameArt’s Grand Jackpot prize. This is not a progressive jackpot game, though, so it should not be confused as such.

Scatter symbols (female hero) can trigger a free spin bonus, and that can help you land prosperous wins when three appear on the first, third and fifth reels.

Bonus Feature

Once the Apocalypse Quest slot’s free spin bonus round has been triggered, you will get to play nine free games. You can retrigger the round (to a degree), but you will only get three extra spins to add to your tally. During the feature, all low-paying symbols are removed from the reels, and this will make things a lot easier to land wins and profitable ones at that. Regrettably, even the high paying symbols are not worth a lot in this game, and that is worth noting. However, you will have more luck landing regular wins in this round than in the other parts of the game.
