Triple Action Hold 'em Review

About Triple Action Hold 'em

This game follows the basic rules of Texas Hold 'em, but with several changes. You still get two cards and there are community cards dealt, but most  everything else is different. Almost half of the cards are gone and there is an option to make two other bets.

Special Features

Triple Action Hold 'em has some very special rules. The cards in the deck from 2-7 have been eliminated. There are only 28 cards in the deck. This rule causes a modification in the hand rankings, with a Flush becoming the third best hand, behind only a Royal Flush and a Straight Flush.

You need to make an ante bet to begin a game of Triple Action Hold 'em. You and the dealer will then be dealt two cards. Three community cards will then be dealt face down. You will be able to see one of the dealer's two cards. At that point, you need to decide whether to fold your cards.

If you decide to continue, you will have to double your bet. The dealer's hole card is then revealed, as are the three community cards. If your hand is better than the dealer, you win, but the dealer has to “qualify” with at least a pair of  9's. If the dealer does not qualify, then your extra bet is returned and the original ante wager is paid even money. However, you can also receive a special “Ante Bonus Payout” if you have one of the best possible hands. These payoffs range from 50-1 for a Royal Flush to 2-1 for a Full House.

Object

Triple Action Hold 'em also offers extra action with two side bets. Every time you make an ante bet, you can also place a “Bonus Side Bet” and a “Flop Side Bet.” Even if you fold your hand after the cards are dealt, these side bets are still alive and can still win. The Bonus Side Bet is based on your five-card hand. The Flop Side Bet is based strictly on the three cards of the flop.

Specioal Bonus Features

The payouts for the Bonus Side Bet range from 100-1 for a Royal Flush to even money for two pairs. The payouts on the Side Bet are lower, since there are only three cards involved. Both a Straight Flush and Three-of-a-kind pay 10-1, a Flush pays 4-1, a Straight 2-1 and a pair that are Jacks or better pays even money.
