Draw Hi Lo is not only a fun game to play but it is also a test of both your nerves and your patience. The game seems simple enough, since there is one card that is displayed and you have to guess whether the next card out of the 52 card deck will be higher or lower. But this is not an even money proposition. The odds are different depending on what card is in play.
In Draw Hi Lo, Aces are always considered low, which makes a King the highest card. If the card that appears is either an Ace or a King, don't get excited thinking you've got easy money, because there is no payoff if you get that card. Your bet will be decided by the next card.
Special Features
If you get the next best cards, which are a 2 and a Queen, you can get a small return if you choose the most likely side. However, in Draw Hi Lo, it's not just about picking the card most likely. There are different odds offered depending on the card. So if it is a 2, you can turn your 1.00 bet into 1.10 if you choose higher and you're right. But if you choose lower and get the only lower card, the Ace, you'll get a payoff of 6-1.
For every card, you're given a choice of hi or low and you're given different odds to choose from. The only card with identical odds for both choices is a 7, since there are six cards higher and six cards lower. All the others you have to decide whether to take the most likely side or the side with the better payoff.
Bonus Game Features
You can also bet on a tie in Draw Hi Lo. In this game, it is a side bet that pays 10-1. As in most game offering a tie bet, including baccarat and casino war, the odds are not in your favour. The bet does not come in often enough to be profitable.
The format of Draw Hi Lo leaves the cards in front of you until you lose or you decide to collect. After each winning bet, your new total will be calculated. The next card will appear and you can either let your winnings ride or push the COLLECT button which will end the draw. You can then change your bet size if you want or hit the repeat button to start another game.
