About Craps
Craps is a dice-based table game developed by Betsoft Gaming. It consists of a full length craps board. Craps is considered to be one of the most exciting games giving players the thrill of the chase when the dice are rolled. It is also considered to be one of the most complex table games to play due to the vast amount of different bets that the player can put down. Due to the vast amount of bets that can be placed on a Craps table the house edge can range from as low as 1.36% on a pass line to 16.9% on an Any 7 bet. Craps was originally called Hazard and dates all the way back to the crusades and derives from the French word crapaud.
Betting Options
When it comes to the Betting Options in Craps there are 17 different bets that you can lay down. The first 8 consist of whether something will happen or doesn’t happen. The first is whether the dice will Pass Line or whether it won’t Pass Line. Then you can bet on whether it will Pass Odds or not Pass Odds, Come or Don’t Come or finally Come Odds or Don’t Come Odds. The next three consist of Placing Bets or you can Buy or Lay bets at a 5% commission. After this the odds get considerably bigger. You can choose to bet on a Big 6 or 8, place Field Bets or Hardways, Any 7 or Any Craps. Finally you can make proposition bets choosing 2 or 12, or alternatively 13 or 11.
Wins and Cash Prizes
All bets in Craps are paid out via cash. When it comes to the payouts you’ll generally get a 1/1 return for Pass Line/Don’t Pass Line, Come/Don’t Come and Big 6 & Big 8 bets. For Any 7 bets the payout is 4/1 and for Any 11 Bets you’ll get odds of 15/1. When betting on Pass Line the odds can vary, for example if you choose 4 or 10, you’ll get a 2/1 payout, for 5 or 9, this is 3/2 and for 6 or 8 the payout is 6/5. As mentioned already depending on your bet you have a good chance of getting a return if you place a bet on a Pass Line as the house edge is only 1.36% however this will only give you a 1/1 return.
