About Caribbean Poker

Caribbean Poker is an online poker game developed by Betsoft gaming. The game in itself is similar to both Blackjack and Video Poker where the player is up against the dealer. The game consists of 52 cards, the player will firstly place a bet and then is given five cards with only the first being face up initially. The aim is for the player to have a better combination between his/hers five cards than the dealers. When all the cards have been seen by the player than can make an additional bet or choose to surrender losing the bet. The typical edge the house has in a game of Caribbean Poker is 5.225% however with correct strategy’s being put in place this can be reduced to 2.5%. Typically a player is going to raise 52% of the time whilst playing Caribbean Poker. Caribbean Poker is a form of stud poker and is commonly referred to as Caribbean Stud Poker for this reason.

Betting Options

When it comes to the betting options open to players whilst playing Caribbean Poker, the tablet limits vary from $1 being the lowest to $100 being the maximum. The chip choices are $1, $5, $25 and $100 chips. There are three seats at the table and the player can choose to play across all three with independent ante bets. The table limit still applies so a player can only have $100 total in bets across all three positions rather than sitting across three seats and betting a total of $100 per seat.

Wins and Cash Prizes

The payouts are fairly straight forward with Nothing or One Pair providing an even return, Two Pairs will give you a 2x return, Three of a Kind 3x, a Straight 4x, Flush 5x, Full House 7x, Four of a Kind 20x, and if you’re very lucky if you get a straight flush you’re looking at 50x and finally a Royal Flush pays a massive 200x your initial stake, and despite the probability of getting a Royal Flush being next to nothing you never know when it could be your lucky day and you could hit the jackpot. As opposed to a typical game of poker where you’re playing against other players and the house earns it’s money via commission and blinds, in this form of poker you’re playing directly against the dealer as you would do so in Blackjack.
