Tetris today is classified as a retro game. It was originally designed by a Russian developer - Alexey Pajitnov, and Vladimir Pokhilko – first released in 1984 as an arcade system. It is a tile-matching puzzle that derived its name fromthe Greek numerical prefix – tetra. Every piece in this game is made up of four segments that players need to manipulate (direction-wise), in order to match and completely fill the space in a vertically rectangular grid.
