Tetris today is classified as a retro game. It was originally designed by a Russian developer - Alexey Pajitnov, and Vladimir Pokhilko – first released in 1984 as an arcade system. It is a tile-matching puzzle that derived its name fromthe Greek numerical prefix – tetra. Every piece in this game is made up of four segments that players need to manipulate (direction-wise), in order to match and completely fill the space in a vertically rectangular grid.

This casino game – Cash Blox - makes use of the traditional four-segment pieces of different colours and shapes that were used in the original game. However, these pieces cannot be manipulated by the player, and this is where the gamble comes in. The more solid lines are made the more winning takes place according to the pay-tables.
