About Blackjack
Relax Gaming’s take on blackjack is a fun to play but boring to look at sort of game. The graphics are nothing short of elementary in this blackjack game, but the gameplay is fair and prosperous. Naturally, most random number generator (RNG) blackjack games have poor graphics, but this really stands out more than you might expect in Relax Gaming’s entry. Instead of focusing on flash imagery and a realistic interface, it is almost as if Relax Gaming has said, “you’re playing a simple online blackjack game,” and designed the title accordingly. Your chips sit down in the bottom right-hand corner, your table limits are in the bottom left, and the options are tucked away in the upper right, in what is essentially not a very mobile-friendly game.
Betting and Rules
The chip sizes don’t add up with the table limits in this blackjack game. For instance, the table limits clearly state that the floor and ceiling bets are set to 1.00 and 15.00 a hand, respectively. However, the chip sizes include 1, 5, 25, 100 and 500 credit values. What’s the point if you can’t wager those figures? Our only conclusion is that Relax Gaming must have several of these titles available (although we couldn’t find proof of that), where you can wager larger sums. Without those, this is a game that is only suitable for low-rolling blackjack players.
This game is played with a four-deck shoe of 52 cards, excluding jokers. The dealer must hit on any 16 and stand on any 17 or higher. Doubling down is permitted, doubling down after a split is allowed in Relax Gaming’s Blackjack, and there is no surrender. However, there is a Dealer Peek mode, offering an American-style game for players.
Bonus Bets
You can bet on up to three hands at once here, and you do have a few customisable options open to you. For instance, you can increase the dealing speed, have the best moves available highlighted to you, take insurance, change the colour scheme, and turn on an “anticipation” mode. However, there are no side bets or “bonus options”, so to speak. This is bare-bones stuff, but the gameplay is enjoyable if you’re prepared to overlook the rudimentary interface and design.
