About the War of the World

The war of the worlds is a video slot developed by Ash Gaming. The game is based on an 1897 novel by the same name. As the name of the slot already suggests, it has a storyline that has to do with warfare. The novel from which this slot derives its name is one of the earliest fictional works detailing a warfare between the human race and extraterrestrial entities. While the warfare detailed in the novel happened in the mind of its author, this one happens on a five reel set with up to one hundred pay-lines. The game’s background is reminiscent of the portrait painted by H. G. Wells in his nineteenth century fictional account of a martial invasion.

It’s hard to ignore the effort developers at Ash gaming have invested in encapsulating the essence of the novel in a five-reel slot. This effort is consolidated with the inclusion of a background sound that goes with the theme as well as the voices of top notch narrators David Essex and Richard Burton. Symbols used in the game include a bird, an alien vessel, the martial heart ray, the red weed, the invasion site and Martian tripods. The game’s wild is the war of the world’s logo which replaces every other symbol in the game except the scatters. The game launches with a screen briefing you on the Martian invasion and the role you play in saving humanity from extraterrestrials.
