About Shogun Showdown

During Japan’s feudal era, the shogun’s ruled certain areas called prefectures with the help of their trained warriors, the Samurai. Now these samurai acted officially on the shogun’s behalf as the military, police and law enforcers, but there were times when missions needed to be completed anonymously and without bringing any attention to that ruler. This was when they employed stealthy ninjas to do their work, many times against other shoguns. The stage is now set for an epic conflict between these three groups in Shogun Showdown!

This is a Chartwell game developed by Amaya Gaming and is a five reel game four rows video slot. Having a massive 50 set lines, you can load up with 0.02 to 5.0 credits and then adjust your wager between 1 to 5 credits per line which caters for both the low rollers and high rollers quite nicely all depending on their bank balance.

There is a top prize of $6,250 which we were unable to find the chances of scoring it, since no one has put up the house edge percentage. There is no depth to this game because clicking Spin is pretty much all you need to do, which is okay to let yourself wind down at the end of a long day.

The pictures in use are the Shogun, the Samurai BONUS, a WILD demon, shuriken, kusarigama sickle chain, a samurai helmet, nun chucks and three standard card symbols, Queen, King and Ace all with a shadowy silhouette hiding behind them.

Special Features

The first additional symbol available is the fanged blue demon with the word WILD underneath it. He is able to substitute all other symbols except the SHOGUN and BONUS ones to from winning pay lines that need to go from left to right.

Bonus Feature

The next on is the Samurai BONUS Symbol that awards up to ten free spins provided he appears simultaneously on reels one, three and five. All prizes amounts are doubled, adding a welcome boost to any players’ cash balance.

And lastly the Shogun himself makes an appearance with his own picture there. Residing solely on the central reel he also acts a mini wild. The best is when four SHOGUN symbols occupy the entire the Shogun Showdown Feature begins. Essentially the reel is locked and an unknown number of free spins take place. Any winning combinations are locked in for the duration of the feature thereby increasing wins. Right at the end the SHOGUNS morph into regular pictures to award a final prize.
