About Scattered Skies
Spinomenal are not the biggest developer of online slots, but they have been making a bit of a name for themselves of late. Scattered Skies is not one of their finest efforts, though. This slot machine is based on astronomy and features so-so graphics. Although not their strongest effort, it can still provide a bite if you strike it lucky. Scattered Skies is not your average run of the mill slot. For starters, there are no paylines spread over this game’s 5 reels, you simply need to accumulate identical symbols on those reels. Players will start off being required to land a specific number of the same symbols on the reels to win. Wagers are pretty easy to gauge in this slot, with bets ranging from 0.20 per spin up to 200.00 a pop. Wagers are costly given that there isn’t a whole lot you are going to get in return.
Special Features
Players will pocket the smallest cash prize for landing 5 of the red, blue, orange, green or grey/brown planets on the reels during a single spin. They don’t have to appear in any specific order, they just need to be there. Players who manage to land 12 of any of the symbols which appear in this slot could pocket wins which range from 30 coins up to 500 coins in total.
That is all there is to it. There are no special symbols present on the reels of this game, although that doesn’t necessarily mean that there aren’t any special features. You will probably have noticed the counter which dips on every spin until you win? This counter (located to the left of the reels) can be used to activate a free spins feature.
Bonus Feature
After every non-winning spin, the counter will drop, and the meter will rise. When it is full (basically 5 spins without a win) a free spins feature is triggered. This will give the player access to unlimited free spins for a brief period of time. The free spins only come to an end once the player successfully lands a win.
Considering everything about the Scattered Skies slot, this is a below-par effort from Spinomenal. The wagers are costly, the features are virtually non-existent, the graphics are poor, and even the “original” structure of the game doesn’t really appeal to most players. Spinomenal can do – and have done – better.
