About Rock the Boat

Microgaming has done it again by taking a straightforward design and dressing it up with a catchy little theme just that is just different enough in looks to make you not realise that you’ve seen it all before a few hundred times. Not to complain about the overall look and feel of Rock the Boat but there really isn’t much you can really do with a 3 reel and 1 pay line slot. But sometimes an uncomplicated form of entertainment keeps the good times rolling without rocking peoples’ boats.

The main illustration is of an Elvis lookalike who’s standing on a rowboat with the Kings world-famous gold trimmed white suite and matching oversized collar. The massive hair is a really great caricature of the legend as he’s sailing in the night by the illumination of a red and white lighthouse in the background, still waters reflecting a distant sunset, or the colors of the title. Now Elvis didn’t sing the song “Rock The Boat” – that was done by The Hues Corporation back in ’73 – so we’re guessing the inspiration comes more from an “escape” from Jailhouse Rock idea. Who knows? Go figure.

The figures that fill up the reels include the stock standard on, two and three BAR; the iconic brown acoustic guitar; the aforementioned lighthouse and The King of Rock 'n' Roll himself – Elvis. Pay-outs are determined by how many coins you bet with a maximum of two, so two-coin spins will literally double the winnings of combinations. BARs pay out the lowest but any combination of them will still score and any number of guitars that appear will still be a welcome sight by filling your pocket.
