About Owl Eyes
Owl Eyes is a NextGen Gaming release, and it features plenty of paylines and lots of special features for players to enjoy. As many will have probably guessed from the title, the central theme of this slot is owls, although it is somewhat more mystical than your ordinary, run-of-the-mill nature themed video slot. Owl Eyes allows players to wager on up to 50 paylines, which sit upon five reels. When it comes to placing bets, coin value range from 0.01 up to 2.00. At its least expensive, Owl Eyes will set players back 0.01 per line, per spin. It will cost no more than 100.00 per spin to play on the maximum wager, though. At most, players can expect to win 1,000x their total stake in this slot.
The wild icon in Owl Eyes is the titular owl’s eyes. How predictable is that? The owl eye wild symbol can only appear on the second, third and fourth reels. When it does appear, it can replace all other icons in the game, save for the scattered moon symbol.
Owl Eyes’ scatter icon is the aforementioned moon. It will reward players with pay-outs of 5x, 20x or 100x their stake, when 3, 4 or 5 of them appear anywhere on the reels. Landing three or more moon scatters will also trigger a free spins bonus round.
Owl Eyes contains a gamble round. This can only be played if the player wins on a payline. To gamble their winnings, players must hit the “gamble” button from the menu bar. They can then decide whether they think the next card will be a colour or a suit. If they guess correctly, they will double their winnings for a correct colour, and quadruple them for a correct suit. If they guess incorrectly, then the player will lose their winnings. Players cannot gamble any more than 5 times in a row.
The free spins bonus round is triggered when a player lands 3 or more scattered moons anywhere on the reels. In this bonus, they will be given 5 free games. During the free spins bonus, all wilds will appear stacked. This can really enhance a player’s pay-outs. Sure, a couple of more free spins would have been nice, as five just isn’t really enough; but as long as the stacked wilds appear, there won’t be too much complaining!
