About Diamond Queen

IGT’s Diamond Queen has its foundation back in the land-based betting world. A popular hit with players in brick-and-mortar casinos, it has been ported to the online casino world, just like so many other popular IGT games that started life as cabinets. Diamond Queen doesn’t have much in the way of a theme, but don’t let that worry you so much. There is plenty for you to enjoy once you start spinning the reels of this slot. The Diamond Queen slot is played over five reels and twenty lines. It costs between 0.01 (per line, or 0.20 per spin with all lines) and 200.00 a spin and has a non-progressive jackpot worth around 1,000 coins in total. The game shares similarities with Da Vinci Diamonds and other IGT games. Even so, let’s look more closely at it.

Special Features

This highly volatile slot doesn’t offer much in the way of special features or bonuses. However, the bonuses that Diamond Queen does offer are more than enough to provide you with decent wins. For instance, there is a nifty and unique free spin bonus in the Diamond Queen slot. You will need to land three Mystical Diamond Bonus symbols on the three central reels of the Diamond Queen slot to trigger the feature. Don’t worry about the lack of wilds in the base game – there will be more than enough of them in the main feature.

Bonus Feature

The main feature in Diamond Queen is known as the Mystical Diamond free spin bonus round. To begin with, you will be treated with a total of three free spins. Ordinarily, this would be quite disappointing, but these are not ordinary spins. On the first spin, the entire second reel will be wild. On the second spin, the second and third reels will be wild. Finally, the third free spin will see the second, third and fourth reels wild. As you can imagine, this can promote decent wins out of nothing. During the feature, keep your eyes peeled for Extra Spin symbols. If you can land these on the first reel, you’ll get an added spin. The number of wild reels you get on that spin depends on when you land the Extra Spin symbol. If you were to land it on the third free spin, for instance, you’d get to play it with three extra reels. It is, therefore, to land this as late into the round as possible.
