DEAD OR ALIVE

About Dead or Alive

Net Entertainment’s Dead or Alive slot machine is still widely considered to be one of the leading Wild West slot machine games, even many years after its initial release. As well as being the benchmark for which most Wild West slots are still judged, Dead or Alive also happens to be an excellent example of a simple and basic video slot. It features just 9 paylines over its 5 reels, and players cannot alter those. Dead or Alive features coin values which range from 0.01 up to 0.50, whilst players can bet up to 4 coins per line. Players will ultimately end up wagering between 0.09 per spin, up to 18.00 per spin all. That’s not too shabby at all, considering that you win as much as 1,500 coins in total.

Special Features

Players who want to get their hands on that non-progressive jackpot will need to line up 5 of the wild symbols on any active line. These wild symbols appear as wanted posters, and they can substitute for all other icons barring scatters symbols.

Those scatter icons appear as a pair of crossed pistols. These symbols can dish out scattered cash prizes when 2 or more appear anywhere on the screen during a single spin. You are going to want to land 3 or more of them to begin the free spins bonus round, for which players will start with a total of 12 free games.

Bonus Feature

During the free spins bonus round, players will note that sticky wilds come into play. These wild symbols will remain on the reels for the duration of the bonus and can replace all other icons save for scatters. This is particularly handy since you need 5 wilds on a payline to win the non-progressive jackpot prize. Land a wild on each reel and you can bag another 5 free spins on the house.

Despite its simplicity, Dead or Alive has some banging features and is cheap enough to make itself appealing to all players. There is no wonder why Dead or Alive is regarded so fondly in the online casino world.
