About Book of Romeo & Julia

There are no prizes for guessing Book of Romeo & Julia’s theme. Gamomat is the developer behind the game, but it is old enough that it was originally developed in their previous incarnation when the software provider was known as BallyWulff. This Gamomat slot isn’t another humdrum affair based on Shakespeare’s most popular play, though. Instead, this is a book slot, and that means you can probably guess what sort of features you’re going to get in this slot release. Book of Romeo & Julia is, of course, a five-reel, ten-line slot that utilises scatter wilds to cut down on the number of junk symbols that appear on the reels. Having a pop at the game will set you back at least 0.01 (per line, as they are adjustable), with max bets rising to 100.00 a spin with all lines in play. From a prize perspective, there’s plenty to play for here. Book of Romeo & Julia has a top prize worth up to 3,000,000 coins. The gameplay is a touch high when it comes to volatility, but no more so than most other book slots out there. The RTP is fair and in line with the industry standard, so we can’t criticise that, either.

Special Features

Gamomat has produced only so-so graphics for this slot release. Fortunately, we’re not relying on those to have a good time. Instead, we’re looking at the classic book slot engine and format to keep us occupied. There is a scatter wild that takes the shape of the book in the title and doubles up as a wild and scatter, as you can probably guess.

Not only will this icon replace any others you might need to land a winning combo, but the book will also pay out the scattered cash prizes and trigger the Book of Romeo & Julia’s free spin bonus should three or more spring up on the reels.

Bonus Feature

Manage to land three of the sealed book scatters, and you’ll activate a total of ten free spins. This is perfectly in line with what we’d expect to see in other book slots. As in those games, one symbol will be selected to act as a special icon at random. This will expand when it appears on the reels – but only if there is a chance of it starring in a winning combo. It is possible to re-trigger the Book of Romeo & Julia bonus round, but that won’t be easy.
