Blood Moon Express Video Slot by Kalamba: Review

About Blood Moon Express

Kalamba Games’ Blood Moon Express is a scary tale set in Victorian London. Unlike conventional games (which often feature exotic locales such as castles, crypts, and mansions), this monster-themed slot takes mummies, werewolves, vampires, and other ghastly ghouls and shoves them all on a train, as you may have gathered from the title. This will win Blood Moon Express brownie points when it comes to an original theme. However, the features also matter. Blood Moon Express delivers sixty lines over its six reels, and each reel features one more symbol than the one before it, save for the fifth and sixth reels, which both have six symbols. In short, the format is 2-3-4-5-6-6. Having a spin on this slot will cost you at least 0.60 per spin, so it is not going to be a cheap slot by any stretch. Maximum stakes will set you back at least 120.00 a turn. However, this is a game with an exceptional RTP rate of 97.38% (one of the best out there) and prizes worth 10,000x a bet. If there was a ruinously expensive game but worth every penny, it could be this one.

Special Features

Given the costly bets, a lot is riding on what Blood Moon Express can deliver in terms of features. Here’s the good news…

At least one reel is guaranteed to be filled with wilds while you play. On top of that, those wilds can dish out multipliers ranging from 1x up to 5x.

At the same time, you can collect symbols while you spin. These missions allow you to pocket instant win cash prizes as you go. For instance, if you collect multipliers so that they have totalled 250-299x your bet over thirty base game spins, you’ll win an instant cash prize worth 15x. These prizes increase as the missions get tougher. For instance, at the platinum tier, you could win 1,000x your bet.

Bonus Feature

Blood Moon Express also offers you a free spin round. Like all free game bonuses (well, almost all), you’ll need three bonus symbols to kick it into gear. Once activated, you can collect moon symbols on the reels. These can turn reels wilds and deliver additional free spins to unsuspecting players. You’ll see that the wild reel feature is present in this round, too, but this time, as many as three wild reels may appear, as opposed to the single one that shows up in the base game.
