About Blazing Star

Blazing Star is one of many Merkur Gaming developed classic slots that you can find in online casinos. This release isn’t much different from the many other games you can expect to see that adopt similar mechanics, engines, and imagery. On the upside, Blazing Star is based on one of Merkur Gaming’s more successful land-based games, which you can find in casinos and arcades in Germany and across Europe. The slot is arguably more exciting in a land-based environment than online, though, as there really isn’t much to write home about. There are many other internet slots out there offering you far more than Blazing Star can, and for cheaper stakes. The cheapest stake you can hope to get away with in this five-reel, five-line game is 0.05 per spin (or 0.01 per line), while maximum bets are capped at 10.00 a pop. The volatility isn’t great, and the RTP is below what we’d want to see.

Special Features

Blazing Star doesn’t come with much in the way of features. There are oranges, cherries, grapes, and the other usual fruit symbols on its reels. However, these are basic symbols, paying out conventional wins whenever they appear on the reels. Notably, the best of these can result in a win worth up to 1,000x a stake. However, that comes at a cost – there are no other special features.

Merkur Gaming did not see fit to include scatter symbols, so you can’t trigger bonus rounds. Moreover, there are no wild symbols, either. This is a game that will only largely appeal to players who specifically want to play classic slots and fruit machines. Even a gamble feature hasn’t found its way into this release. In the case of Blazing Star, what you see is very much what you get. It is worth bearing that in mind before you decide to sit down and have a crack at this site.

Final Thoughts

The lack of special symbols is a bit of a drawback, especially in a “video slot” that features five reels. We’d like to see more of an effort made. Then again, Merkur Gaming isn’t widely known for going overboard with its slot features. The other problem associated with this game is that it isn’t widely available at online casino sites. You could struggle to find Blazing Star (and other Merkur Gaming slots) at your favourite online casinos.
