BLACKBEARDS COMPASS

About Blackbeard’s Compass

1x2 Gaming launched Blackbeard’s Compass in 2019, and right from the off, you can see that this is a generic, straightforward slot game. You’re looking at a mundane pirate theme and five reels and twenty-five paylines of action. There are several features that can spice up gameplay in what is otherwise a rather basic and simplistic title. Having a crack at this slot will cost you between 0.25 and 100.00 a spin, which is again right in that ballpark that we are used to seeing. Prizes rise to 80,000 coins, or roughly 800x your bet here. Blackbeard’s Compass has the now industry-standard RTP rate of 96% and is thought to be towards the medium-low marker on the volatility scale.

Special Features

As touched on, there are a few special features for you to take advantage of here. One of these is a mystery symbol in the shape of the famous pirate’s compass. This mystery symbol can transform into one of the symbols that appear on the screen, but that doesn’t guarantee a win. It can’t substitute for any symbol you need, unlike a wild.

To get your hands on the top prize, you’ll need five of the pirate captain symbols (Blackbeard) to land on a payline. These symbols can appear stacked, so you could fill the reels of this slot with a bit of luck, resulting in the epic win mentioned above.

Blackbeard’s Compass also features a scatter symbol, which can trigger a free spin bonus, as you might expect. There is also a secondary scatter, and this can unlock a Treasure Map bonus, which works as a trail-based game. Let’s look closer at these two features next.

Bonus Feature

The first scatter (a treasure chest) will unlock a free spin bonus if it appears three times (reels 1, 3 and 5) on the screen. You’ll kick start that round with ten free games. Mystery symbols appearing on the reels of the slot will now become sticky, remaining in place for the duration of the feature.

The second scatter can activate a Treasure Map bonus, as mentioned. Here, you’ll get to work your way along a trail with a bit of luck. Again, the treasure map scatter needs to appear three times (reels 2, 4 and 5, bizarrely enough) to activate the round. Once it is triggered, you’ll get up to seven chances to land a top prize.
