BIRDS AND BLOOMS

Birds and Blooms is a 5-reel, 88-payline video slot from Genesis Gaming with a 95% RTP and medium volatility. Its features include free spins, wilds and scatters, with bets from 0.01 to 176 per spin.

About Birds and Blooms

Genesis Gaming has taken a bit of a chance with their Birds and Blooms slot. The theme will not appeal to most slot players, and the graphics are certainly underwhelming. However, if you like artsy-looking slots and are an avid birdwatcher, there may be something in Birds and Blooms for you. As explained, the game is basic, but there is a maximum of 88 paylines spanning the 5x4 interface, and these can be altered to a degree. Bets on the game range from 0.01 per line (0.88 per spin when playing with all lines) up to 888.00 a spin, so there is a certain affordability for all players. You can win a top slot prize worth 1,000x a bet in this game with a spot of luck in this slot. Just when we think that there isn’t anything positive worth reporting, we stumble across something very noteworthy. This Genesis Gaming slot has an RTP rate of 97%. This perks things up a bit.

Special Features

As with many medium variance slots, you’ve got lots of options to enjoy in Birds and Blooms – at least, in terms of features. Birds flying out of cages appear as wild symbols in this release. They can naturally take the form of any symbol you need to land a winning line, save for scatters. At the same time, wilds can deliver the non-progressive jackpot mentioned above if five appear on a line.

Scatters pop up as bird feeders. These temple-shaped symbols can deliver scattered cash prizes when they show up, but they can also trigger a free game round, depending on how many you land on the reels.

Bonus Feature

There isn’t much to write home about in the slot’s free spin bonus. However, it is worth noting that during every free spin, any wild symbol you land will lock in its spot and remain there for the duration of the round. Having sticky wilds come into play (especially if you’ve got all eighty-eight lines active) can make all the difference to landing wins.

Ultimately, Birds and Blooms is a simplistic slot with hand-painted (hand-drawn) style imagery, a fair (but predictable) array of features, and standard volatility. Its RTP rate of 97% is appreciated, but there are many rival slots out there with similar themes offering you more, even amongst Genesis Gaming’s own portfolio, such as Thunderbird Spirit.
