About Beetlejuice MegaWays

Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice. The iconic film from 1988 returns in this charming and fun slot developed and released by Barcrest. The formatting of Beetlejuice MegaWays is a five-by-five grid with twelve symbols, five reels, an average RTP of 96%, and the astonishing MegaWays engine, delivering up to 248,832 ways to win.

If you are unfamiliar with the 1988 movie, the plot is quite straightforward but entertaining. The plot can be quickly summed up as the Maitlands, a recently deceased couple, decide to remove the new owners of their home. The way they do this is by enlisting assistance from Beetlejuice. Naturally, a lot of humorous scenes happen in the film with plenty of slapstick and gross-out humor.

While you don’t need to have seen the film before playing the slot, people who have seen the film will appreciate the details this slot offers. In addition to having your typical playing card icons, there are also five characters from the movie that make an appearance. These symbols include Winona Rider, the headshrinker, Miss Argentina, Serpent Beetlejuice, and Beetlejuice.

Special Features

Beetlejuice comes with many special features that can help you maximize your winnings. For example, cascading symbols can be particularly helpful as they will replace winning symbols with new ones. This can lead to an increase in winnings.

Another special feature is a ghost symbol. The ghosts are mystery symbols, and when they land on the reels, they will trigger the Mystery Symbols feature. During this feature, all the ghosts will transform into the same symbol. However, the one you get the game chooses at random. Ghosts won’t always reveal a winning combination. If the ghosts appear to be in your favor, you will get another cascade and another chance to win.

Getting free spins is another special feature and is triggered by the bonus scatter--the Betelgeuse symbol. When 3, 4, or 5 of these symbols are arranged anywhere on the reels, you will win either 8, 12, or 16 free spins. Additionally, you start with a 1x multiplier, and the scatters can reward you up to a maximum of 8 free spins.

Unfortunately, there are no bonus games in Beetlejuice MegaWays. However, the game is still very enticing to play without them, and with plenty of special features available in the base game, the lack of bonus features isn’t too much of a glaring problem.
