About Asian Riches – The Slot

Cayetano Gaming has partnered with Paddy Power to produce this video slot that is exclusive to the Paddy Power (PP) brand. They are a wholly owned PP PLC subsidiary based in Sophia, Bulgaria, and have obviously made the cut for this Irish gaming giant. Asian Riches is a non-progressive video slot that takes its theme from the wealth that has been traditionally sought in the East. It is a five reel game with a bit of difference that does not make use of the classic slot set-up. Five reels appear in a honeycomb design, and it would bode well to consult with the pay-tables to understand how winnings are paid out.

Special Features

This online video slot opens to the sounds of a pealing gong, and oriental music, and is actually a very nice opening. We find five rows of reels, three deep appearing in an offset honeycomb pattern. Icons spin on their axis randomly, and may be stopped in mid-play by clicking the “Stop” button. The reels are set into the backdrop of a wooden Pagoda, delicately framed by cherry blossom trees.

Symbols used are Golden lions which are also the bonus icon, a golden head of Buddha, lotus flowers, Gold, silver, and bronze gong patterns. Lower paying symbols are Ace, King, Queen, Jack and Ten; rendered in an Eastern stylized graphic design. Random multiplier icons are also thrown into the mix. This is a 2 x multiplier that doubles all wins that it touches, and stays on the reels until it increases a win. Note: if the player changes the size of their wager while the icon appears, it will just disappear.

Betting takes place by simply choosing a total stake. There are no lines to activate, or amounts per line to set. The coin bet range starts at 0.01, and increases one at a time up to 0.05, then 0.10, 0.20, 0.30, 0.40, 0.50 and 1.00 up to 25.00. An Auto feature allows the player to set between five and twenty spins to run automatically.

Bonus Features

Unfortunately this reviewer was unable to access the bonus feature. This game is triggered by landing three or more golden lion bonus icons in winning positions on the reels. It offer players the opportunity to multiply their money from two x up to ten x, until they hit collect. A hit on the special Golden Line will double all multipliers.
