Special Features
Alaskan Sun features a pretty simple design that looks minimalistic to some extent. Despite its minimalistic interface, the design of the game and the symbols used does align with its theme. The symbols used in the game fall into three value grids: the low value grid, the high value grid, and the special symbols grid. The low value grid consists of the usual playing card symbols while the high value grid consists of symbols of igloos, polar bears, skies, and dog sleds. You will need to land a matching combination of regular symbols to win a reward in the game. The value of the matching combination depends on the value of symbols involved.
The special symbols of the game include wild and scatter symbols. The wild symbol of the game is represented by natives of Alaska - Eskimos. The wild can replace other regular symbols to form winning combinations in the game. The wild Eskimo does more than just form part of a winning combination - it will activate a bonus multiplier if you are lucky to land three or more of eskimo symbols.
On the other hand, the scatter of the game is represented by the symbol of the igloo which is the key to unlocking the main bonus round of the game.
Bonus Feature
You will need to land three or more igloo scatters on the reels to activate the main bonus feature of the game. Igloo scatters are the key to activating the free spins round of the game which can reward you with as many as fifty spins. Since the free spins round can be retriggered, you can win more free spins in this round.
