About Age of Vikings

Age of Vikings is just one of several Norse-themed slots you can expect to see online. This game contains a mash-up of symbols and imagery from films and television, and more generic Viking era icons. For instance, one cannot help but note the similarities between Chris Hemsworth’s Thor from the Marvel series and Thor in this game. Age of Vikings is played over five reels and fifty lines. Stakes rise from 0.50 up to 200.00 a spin, making the slot suitable for players with a decent budget. Prizes can rise to 1,000x a bet, and you will need woad-painted Vikings to pocket that kind of cash. Age of Vikings is deemed to be medium volatile in nature and has a bog-standard RTP rate.

Special Features

Keep your eyes peeled for Thor. This symbol is quite clearly a rip-off from the Marvel series of the same name, but he comes in handy all the same. Thor acts as a wild, replacing all save for scatters. However, the wild symbol does not have any monetary values to dish out to players, and he does not crop up on the first reel, either.

The Gates of Valhalla icon is the Age of Vikings’ scatter. As well as doling out decent wins, scatters can trigger a re-spin and free spins. Two to four scatters offering a re-spin where you can try and land additional scatters. However, if you already have three scatters, you will trigger the free spin round following that re-spin, regardless of the re-spin’s outcome.

Bonus Feature

Once activated, the free spin round will deliver 10, 15 or 20 games for three, four or five Gates of Valhalla scatters. You will also see your winnings multiplied by 4x, 5x or 6x the rate of pay during this feature. The bonus round can be retriggered by landing further scatters.

A secondary bonus round is available, too. Land five bonus treasure chests on a line (they are not scatters) to activate this round. You can do this in the base game or the free spin round. Here, a basic click and win game follows. Simply select from the treasure chests which appear on the screen to pocket a cash prize. When playing at costlier stakes, the prizes in this instant win bonus tend to be worth substantially more than with smaller stakes, but you probably knew that already.
