About Texas Hold 'em

This game has many of the features of Texas Hold 'em, but it will also remind you of video poker and possibly scratch card games. Like video poker, you're not playing against opponents, but you're trying to win money from the house.

While video poker games are played in a Draw Poker format, this game begins just like a hand of Texas Hold 'em, You'll be given two cards and then five other cards are dealt. As in a regular game of Texas Hold 'em, you will make up your hand from the two cards you are dealt and the other five cards. But in this version of the game, those five cards are dealt face down. You then have to select the three cards you will be using to complete your hand. That's why it is known as Texas Hold 'em Lottery, since you have no way of knowing what three cards you'll be selecting. You will not have seven cards to choose from but only the two you are dealt and the three others you selected.

Special Features

The screen for Texas Hold 'em Lottery is set to resemble a regular poker table covered with green felt. There is a shoe at the top of the screen where the cards are dealt. The chips that you will be using are lined up at the bottom of the simulated table.

You begin the game by selecting the size of your bet. Your available balance will be easy to see at the bottom of the table, as will the size of your bet and, when applicable, the amount of your win.

As with a video poker game, there is a pay table in Texas Hold 'em Lottery. Since the majority of your cards are picked at random, the pay-offs are quite a bit better than you'll find in any video poker game. All you need is just a high card Ace in order to get a return. That hand will pay even money and the pay-offs just get better from there. One pair pays 2-1 and two pairs pay 4-1.

Texas Hold 'em Lottery also has some gigantic pay-offs for the best hands. A Full House will pay 100x your bet, while Four-of-a-kind pays 200-1. As in most other games of poker, the two best paying hands are a Straight Flush, which returns 1,000-1, and a Royal Flush, which offers the jackpot pay-off of 10,000-1.
