About Dogfather

The Dogfather is a popular Microgaming developed slot machine game. This online slot is actually older than many other games, but it is still frequently offered and played. The Dogfather is all about criminal gangs – of dogs. The Dogfather features appropriate imagery to be true to that theme, too. The Dogfather is played over a total of 5 reels and 20 lines, and players can adjust those lines as well as coin values, as they see fit. The Dogfather permits coin values of 0.01 up to 0.50 to be used, with players able to bet up to 5 coins per line. You are going to be looking at minimum and maximum stakes of 0.01 per line, per spin, and 50.00 per spin in this slot, which makes it rather cheap, all things considered.

Special Features

The bulldog with the cigar is of course the Dogfather himself, and also the wild icon. When this wild icon appears, it can replace all other symbols barring scatter and bonus icons. Wilds are also the best paying icons in the game.

Scatter icons are represented by Itchy da Flea. When this pesky critter appears on the reels 3, 4 or 5 times, the player will pocket scattered winnings of 5x, 10x, or 100x their total bet. Players can also net 13 free spins for three or more scatter icons. During that free spins bonus round, all winnings will be tripled. There is a second scatter offering a different bonus you may wish to check out, though.

Bonus Feature

The fire hydrant is a very valuable bonus icon in this game. It is also a scatter, and can offer the players big wins of up to 5,300 coins, depending on how many appear on the reels. Should 3, 4 or 5 of these fire hydrant icons appear on the reels, then the Mark Your Territory bonus is triggered.

The second bonus round in The Dogfather is really simple to play. There will be many fire hydrants located on the screen. Players must mark their territory by selecting up to 12 fire hydrants on the screen. Each one they select will earn them a cash prize. After you are done selecting prizes, the total amount you have selected will be added together and then paid out to you as a major cash prize. Some of the winnings in this particular bonus round can be fairly wealthy.
