About Deuces & Joker Video Poker

Deuces & Joker video poker is brought to the online gambling arena by the PlaynGo software platform. We immediately got excited when we downloaded this game, as it has an extremely special top prize. It is highly unusual for a video poker game to offer a top prize that is more than 4000 or 5000 coins. This game however offers maximum prize money of 10000 coins for landing five wild cards. Something that is not easy to do, but is worth trying for when considering the size of the prize.

Special Features

Due to the fact that Deuces & Joker video poker has such a special top prize, its hand rankings are also slightly different. Fundamentally it is not a Jacks of Better game, and the as we said previously the top prize can only be won by landing five wild cards in a hand – the wild cards are Deuces and Jokers as we see in the name.

The second highest prize is 4000 coins which is normal for video poker, and this is won on five coins and a Royal Flush hand ranking. Other hand rankings are Four Deuces, Wild Royal Flush, Five of a Kind, Straight Flush, Four of a Kind, Full House, Flush, Straight, and finally three of a kind. It is typical that three of a kind is the last paying hand when wild cards are included in video poker.

An interesting coin betting range of 0.50 up to 5.00, makes for quite a high price to pay when spending five coins at a time. However, the size of the prize makes it worth it. This is not a low-rollers version of video poker that can be played for a few pennies a pop. The maximum bet is 25.00 which is a bit rich for this writers’ blood, but might not be for the serious video poker player. An auto-hold feature is super for new play who might be unsure about the most strategic cards to hold.

Bonus Features

Whether or not a gamble feature can be considered to be a bonus or not is really a moot point. It all depends on the player, and the level of risk they enjoy. As with most video poker games - the gamble feature is triggered on each and every win. The player is then invited to gamble their winnings or not, in a double or lose all round. We generally take the risk with small wins, and collect on anything over 15.00.
