PG Soft Releases Azteca Legacy With Central Wild Multipliers

PG Soft has released Azteca Legacy, aseven-reel video slot that links access to its free spins feature to clearing locked positions around the centre of the reels. Set inside an ancient jungle temple, the game combines cascading symbols with a central Wild whose multiplier increases during the feature.

The mobile games developer announced the release on November 2, 2026. Azteca Legacy carries a stated return to player of 96.75% and high volatility, with a maximum win of 10,000 times the bet. Its optional Ante Bet changes the main game’s golden symbol positions and increases the likelihood of reaching free spins.

Winning Combinations Change the Golden Positions

Azteca Legacy forms wins when at least five matching symbols touch horizontally or diagonally. Winning symbols then explode, allowing replacements to fall into the available spaces. This cascading mechanic gives the new arrangement another opportunity to produce a winning combination within the same sequence.

Wild symbols can stand in for other symbols, with the Free Spin symbol representing the sole exception. Alongside that substitution function, the game includes a separate mechanic called 4-Corner Sync, which controls four golden positions across reels two and six.

At the beginning of each main game spin, those positions reveal a random symbol. When a symbol in any of the four positions contributes to a win, all four positions become Wilds for the following round.

A subsequent win involving one of those Wilds changes the positions back to random symbols. The feature therefore moves between its regular symbol state and its Wild state according to the winning combinations that occur during play.

Six Locked Positions Control Access to Free Spins

The route into free spins centres on a Free Spin symbol surrounded by six locked positions. Every main game spin begins with those surrounding positions closed, leaving the central symbol inactive.

Winning combinations determine how the surrounding area opens. A winning symbol clears a locked position when it touches that position horizontally or diagonally. Players must open all six positions before the central Free Spin symbol becomes active and awards 10 free spins.

This arrangement connects progress towards the feature with the placement of winning symbols. A win can therefore contribute to opening the centre as well as produce a payout through the game’s cascading system.

Central Wild Multiplier Increases During the Feature

Once free spins begin, the central Free Spin symbol becomes a Wild carrying an initial x1 multiplier. It stays in position until the feature ends, while the four golden positions also remain Wild throughout the feature.

Whenever the central Wild contributes to a winning combination, its multiplier applies to that win. The multiplier then increases by one for the next round. Further wins involving the central Wild can continue that progression during the feature.

Additional spins can extend the round. A +2 Free Spin symbol awards two more spins when it appears anywhere on the reels, giving players further opportunities to form combinations involving the central Wild.

The optional Ante Bet alters the conditions in the main game. Selecting it raises the bet by a factor of five and guarantees Wilds in all four golden positions on every main game spin. It also makes the Free Spins Feature five times more likely to activate.
