BetSoft’s 21 Burn is played on a realistically simulated table that features a dark red felt. All of your betting options and betting odds are clearly visible. The game also has a narrator who will announce the winner after each hand and, when appropriate, will also ask you if you want insurance.
How to Play 21 Burn Blackjack
The basics rules of this game are the same as most other blackjack variations, meaning that it is you versus the dealer. If you gets closer to 21 without going over, you win. If you get “Blackjack” with your first two cards, the payoff in this game is only 1-1, not the normal 3-2.
The dealer is also dealt two cards, with the second one face down. You can take out insurance if the dealer shows an Ace. If you make that bet and the dealer does have 21, you’ll be paid the standard 2-1.
21 Burn is played with six decks. You can double after you’re dealt your first two cards. You can also double after a split. You can split only once. One other rule of this game is that the dealer must hit a soft 17.
The Special Burn Card
After you are dealt your first two cards, you will also be dealt a card face down known as the Burn Card. You have the option to replace your second card with this card. If you choose to make the change, you will have to increase your original bet by 50%.
In addition to the possibility that it might improve your hand, there are other reasons to utilize the Burn Card. If the card is an Ace, you will be paid 2-1 on your Burn Card bet. If the card is the Ace of Spades, the payoff increases to 7-1.
Strategy for Playing 21 Burn Blackjack
The option to take the Burn Card should be based on whether it might improve your hand. The bonus payoffs of 2-1 for any Ace and 7-1 for the Ace of Spades are nice, but not enough to justify this bet.
