The film Psycho from Universal Pictures was first made in 1960, it was then re-made in 1998. This Alfred Hitchcock directed film starring Anthony Perkins back in the day, and became the scariest psychological thriller of its time. Icons are the young girl who features in this first of the slasher- genre film, the detective, Bates peering through a keyhole and, the key for room no: 1. Card indices Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Ten and Nine are all used and are illustrated in true Psycho style. The wild is portrayed simply by the words “WILD”, and substitute for all other icons except for the scatter.

The scatter is the scary silhouette of the motel atop a hill, and multiplies by the size of the wager made. Reels quite aptly appear to spins superimposed on a white shower curtain. It is the shower scene that is one of the films’ biggest claims to fame.
