About Hot Shot
Hot Shot is actually a baseball themed video slot, and there aren’t too many of those doing the rounds on the internet. It is one of Microgaming’s older video slots, so its features may no longer be quite up to scratch. That shouldn’t stop you having a cracking time playing this game, though. Hot Shot is played over petite 5-reel, 9-line structure, but players can opt to select coin values which stem from a low of 0.25 up to 2.00 in all. They can then choose to wager on as many lines as they wish. Minimum and maximum stakes range from 0.25 per line per spin, up to 18.00 per spin on this slot game. The best prize you can hope to win in this slot is 1,000x your total bet, which you can do by landing 5 of the Home Run symbols on any active line in this non-progressive video slot.
Special Features
Hot Shot does contain a few special features. After all, the slot is old, but not that old. Hot Shot’s special features include wilds, and scatters. First up, let’s take a peek at the wild icon.
Hot Shot’s wild symbol appear as a wild ball icon. When this symbol appears, it is not able to offer you any cash prizes on its own. It can, however, offer you substitute symbols. These icons can replace all others in the slot, save for scatters.
Those scatter icons can multiply your total bet when they appear on the reels. Players are perfectly capable of bagging total bet multipliers of 10x, 50x, and 100x, when 3, 4 or 5 of these symbols appear on the reels. The good thing about scatters is that they count no matter where they fall on the reels, so you don’t need to land them on paylines for them to be of use.
Bonus Feature
And what about bonus features? Well, sadly, there are none to be had in the Hot Shot slot. This game is just slightly too old to contain any of the amazing features you are likely to find in more modern Microgaming video slots. That being said, you can still expect to win reasonable pay-outs with the standard paying icons. If you want to see how Microgaming video slots originated into the beasts that they are today, then Hot Shot is a great place to start.
