About Black Horse
Black Horse is one of Wazdan’s older slots. A more modern version has been released (Black Horse Deluxe) that offers you the top array of video slot features you would expect to see in such a game. This isn’t that title, though. Instead, this Black Horse slot is the older, classic slot version of the game. Traditional fruit symbols litter the reels, and there is little of the cowboy theme you can find in the video slot remake. Wazdan has tried to keep things simple in the slot. There are three reels and upon those sit five paylines. Having a spin on the game will cost you at least 0.20 a spin, while maximum bets are capped at 100.00 a turn. Oddly enough, this is the same wagering range you can find in Black Horse Deluxe, so why you’d pay that sum for a classic slot edition baffles us. However, you can up to 40x a bet with a bit of luck here, which is more than the deluxe version, so maybe that is the answer.
Betting and Prizes
There isn’t much in the way of features in this game, so we’re going to have to talk about something else. As mentioned, you’re betting on a three-reel, five-line slot, and none of those lines can be altered, so you’re looking at stakes that are somewhat costly, given what’s available.
Most of the symbols that appear in Wazdan’s Black Horse are conventional enough and wouldn’t look out of place in a fruit machine. You’ve got cherries, lemons, pears, oranges, plums, and grapes, and these can deliver modest wins. The cactus, bells and horseshoes are worth more satisfying sums of money. However, all these symbols pale in comparison to the titular black horse, which can deliver the top paying jackpot prize. It also pays if just two appear on the reels, which is a nice addition to this classic slot.
Final Thoughts
Black Horse is a classic slot at heart. That won’t speak to all players. If you like the concept but find this game a barebones release (and we’re sure most players will do), then we’d strongly recommend having a crack at Black Horse Deluxe. That game has plenty to offer in terms of features and prizes and is arguably a better game. It can be played for the same stakes, although its features prizes that are a touch smaller in value.
