Special Features

Five reels have been dropped into an Eastern type of backdrop where cherry blossoms blow in the wind, Archibald stands to the left, and the scenery is really quite awesome. Icons are stone-like runes that have been embossed with different types of oriental symbolic creatures and lettering. As these spin they become transparent, and we get a view of the scenic backdrop. These runic icons also all pay different amounts. The wild icon is a statue of an elephant which substitutes for all other icons except the free spins and bonus game symbols.

After a certain amount of spins (this number is chosen randomly by the game), a Surprise Symbol (?) will appear. This will substitute for a pay-tables icon, and winnings paid according to the new combination.

Pay lines can be activated by the player as a single line, or series of five, ten, twenty-five or fifty. Bonus Features

Archibald Oriental Tales offers two different bonus features, and one is a free spins round. This game is triggered by the Free Spins Elephant icon, and also allows re-triggering of this game. The Bonus Game is triggered by the Bonus Icon which is also an elephant statue that is a purple colour. Landing three or more of these on the lines sees the player choosing a bridge for Archibald to cross. There are four different bridges to choose from. He is attempting this crossing to reach a treasure chest filled with golden coins, which will ostensibly end up belonging to the player. On his way across he collects gemstones which are associated with winning. Whatever he happens to collect will be what the player wins.
