About Tens or Better
BetSoft Gaming’s Tens or Better game is one of the more general, in terms of middle-hand pay-outs. It isn’t the best looking video poker title you’ll ever lay your eyes on, but if you love video poker games, you might not necessarily care about that. BetSoft’s Tens or Better (also called 10 or Better) is actually pretty cheap to play, too.
How to play
After using the buttons to place your bet, you will be dealt 5 cards by the game. Those 5 cards form your poker hand, but you needn’t worry, because you’ll get a chance to change those cards before your poker hand is compared for a potential win.
You can click on each of the cards (or the hold buttons underneath) to either keep or get rid of them. Any cards you have not held will be replaced when you click on the deal button a second time. That second hand is now your completed poker hand, and the one which will be judged to see if you have a winning combination of cards.
Wagering and prizes
You will notice that on the right hand side of the screen is a coin counter. From there, you can opt which coins you wish to bet per hand. Coin sizes include 0.02, 0.05, 0.10, 0.25, 0.50, and 1.00 in total. After choosing your coin, you can opt to stake as many as 5 of them per hand, using the “bet one” button.
Tens or Better is ideal for beginners, since it carries a lowest paying hand of just a pair of tens. That shouldn’t be too hard for you to muster up. After a Tens or Better hand, you can win with a Two Pair, Three of a Kind, Straight, Flush, Full House, Four of a Kind, Straight Flush or a Royal Flush if you are fortunate enough. The Royal Flush is understandably the best paying poker hand in this game, since it is worth a total of 4,000 coins.
Final thoughts
Tens or Better is quite simple and yet efficient at the same time. The video poker game doesn’t do or offer anything out of the ordinary, although that is perfectly understandable from a poker variant of this calibre. In all probability, you will still have fun trying your hand at winning in this video poker game nonetheless, though.
