About Jacks Show

Jacks Show is a game that has been developed by Slotland, and is available at their online gaming website. The title itself is actually rather comical. It is designed to look like a theatre, and the game is actually slightly animated. Jacks Show does run as a pretty standard video poker game, though that shouldn’t discourage anybody from having a crack at this game.

How to play

Once you have chosen how much you wish to wager, you can start playing the Jacks Show game. Ideally, you are hoping to build the best hand possible, in a game that is not played against any dealer. After the first five cards are drawn, the computer will automatically decide which cards it thinks you should hold. Simply click on the held cards if you disagree, or click on cards which aren’t held to hold them.

After your have done this, click the draw button and the cards you wish to get rid of will be discarded and replaced with new ones. This will give you your final poker hand. If it matches one of the hands from the pay table, then you will win. If it does not, you’ll lose.

There is no gamble feature in the Jacks Show game.

Wagering and prizes

The coin values in Jacks Show can be somewhat tricky to locate. You can find them on the left hand side of the “trumpet”. Coin values are bizarrely named as 1/4x, 1/2x, 1, 1 1/2x, and 2x coins. You can roughly translate these as bets of 0.25, 0.50, 1.00, 1.50 and 2.00 per hand, respectively.

Players can win their money back if they land Jacks or Better in this game. If they pull off a Two Pair, they will win double their bet. Three of a kind pays 3x the bet, whilst a Straight pays 4x the bet staked by the player. Go ahead and land a flush and you’ll get 6x the bet, whilst a Full House pays 9x the bet. Players can win 25x the bet for a Four of a Kind, 100x the bet for a straight flush, and the Royal Flush is the top prize, being worth 500x the stake.

Final thoughts

Jacks Show is very basic, as far as video poker games go. That being said, it has been intricately designed to look the part, and it is quite fun to play, too.
